Biography :
Kimon teaches students of all ages and ability and tailors lessons to suit the needs of the student. He has successfully guided students through ABRSM exams and also teaches Grade 5 Theory. Additionally Kimon provides piano accompaniment for beginner clarinet students and teaches piano for beginners. Kimon teaches privately and at Oakfield School, Woking.
Kimon has recently completed a Master of Arts with Distinction at the Royal Academy of Music and graduated as a Foundation Scholar with a First Class Honours from the Royal College of Music.
Kimon has played professionally on a number of occasions with the London Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia and the London Sinfonietta. He has also been on trial with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. As a recording artist, Kimon has recently featured as a soloist on the Royal Academy of Music’s ‘American Icons’ CD. As a soloist, Kimon is on the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme 2012 and has won the RCM Edward and Helen Hague Senior Woodwind Prize in 2008, the Clarinet and Saxophone Society (CASS) Solo Clarinet Competition 2011 and reached the Wind Section Final in the Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition 2012. As a member of the Davis Clarinet Quartet, Kimon participates on the Live Music Now! Scheme.
