Biography
Ivan Rodrigues graduated at the Colchester Institute School of Music where he specialized in performance on the classical guitar and clarinet. During his studies, he won the Ireland Trophy for strings and Moles Trophy for duets.
Ivan has performed in many masterclasses with some of the finest guitarists including Carlos Bonell, Simon Dinningan and Benjamin Verdery. More recently Ivan has performed along side two internationally renowned classical guitarists in Craig Ogden and Gary Ryan.
As a trained musician Ivan is passionate about the instrument and teaches students of all ages and ability. He has guided students successfully through the ABRSM and Trinity exams which require comprehensive development of left and right hand technique. He also teaches up to grade 5 Theory. Additionally Ivan also teaches acoustic fingerstyle technique to students wanting to learn chords and sing songs.
