Biography :
I am professional musician with over 16 years’ teaching experience, and a busy performing career. I studied music at York University and the Royal Academy of Music in London, and my work as a pianist has taken me all over the UK, the US and Europe, and as far afield as Greenland and the Caribbean. Amongst other venues, I have performed at London’s South Bank, Wigmore Hall and Royal Albert Hall, and the Lincoln Centre and Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition I have written on music for the Guardian newspaper, made many CD recordings and radio broadcasts, and I was recently made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
As a teacher I have taught at all levels from beginners to university music students. Adult beginners are always welcome, I can teach music theory, and I regularly enter students for ABRSM and Trinity/Guildhall exams. I teach from home in a studio with a Bosendorfer grand piano.
